7 Mayor Ryan called the meeting to order at 7:30p.m. Mayor asked for motion to make Erica O'Donnell
8 Clerk Pro-Tem. Trustee Murphy made the motion, Trustee Perretta seconded the motion. All in
9 favor: "aye".
10 Clerk Pro-Tem O'Donnell called the roll with the following in attendance: Trustees Dalzell,
11 McLawhorn,Murphy,Nava-Esparza,Perretta and Mayor Ryan. Trustee Juarez-Mendoza was absent.

13 Mayor announced: 1)Annual Village clean-up day will be May 13'from 9am-12pm starting at Village
14 Hall. 2) Shepard band boosters are having an arts and crafts show April 22°d from 9am-3pm; $2
15 entrance fee. 3) Student government night will be May 15t1i at 7:30pm in the Board Room where high
16 school students will be in place of Mayor, Clerk, and Trustees for the night. 4) Worth Township is
17 joining with Pathlights for a Community Resource Fair May 3rd from l0am-2pm at Worth Township
18 (116'and Pulaski).

20 MAYOR'S REPORT: Mayor Ryan presented: 1) Approval of an ordinance to increase the number
21 of Class "E" (authorizes the sale at retail of beer and wine only and said beer and wine are to be
22 consumed within the specified premises) liquor licenses from (4)to (5) for the business located at
23 12801 S Cicero Ave, this establishment will not have a lounge bar. Baymont Hotel. 2) Approval to
24 have Datamation finish scanning (34)boxes of records, or retrieving them for assignment to Village
25 personnel. 182,000 pieces of data.

27 CLERK'S REPORT: Clerk Harding presented: 1) Approval of the March 20, 2023 Board Meeting
28 Minutes. 2) Approval of the March 27, 2023 Committee Meeting Minutes.

30 ATTORNEY'S REPORT: Attorney Michael Cainkar: 1)No report.

32 ENGINEER'S REPORT: Geoff Aggen: 1) Bid opening next Monday for the 115' Place water
33 main and 118th Place water main. Friday we have pre constructions meetings for the rebuild Illinois
34 roadway maintenance; sanitary sewer viewing and cleaning, and pipelining project. Still discussing
35 MFT money on what projects.

47 finishing day shifts, new test will be posted soon.

51 PUBLIC WORKS AND BOAT LALTNCH REPORT: Trustee Murphy presented: 1) Approval of
52 the Public Works February 2023 Monthly Activity Report. 2) Approval to hire two (2)temporary
53 part-time employees for the boat launch at $15.00 an hour. 3) Approval to hire six (6) temporary
54 full-time employees for the Public Works Department to work the summer season at $15.00 an hour
55 for fourteen weeks.

57 SEWER AND WATER: Trustee Nava-Esparza presented: 1) Approval to hire four(4)temporary
58 full-time employees for the Water Department to work the summer season at$15.00 an hour for

62 Department March 2023 Activity Report. 19 complaints and 14 inspections. 2) Approval to hire
63 three (3)temporary full-time employees for the Building Department to work the summer season at
64 $15.00 an hour for fourteen weeks.

177 Yvette was in the audience and asked a question about why LA Fitness was closing. She just learned
178 this but never got notification. Mayor stated he's not allowed to state much but there is corporate
179 interest in that, but we are not authorized to speak on it, it's a corporate decision.

181 Another audience member came up: Regarding applications for the jobs, is it online?Mayor stated
182 yes you can apply online as well. If you're looking for a summer job, it's a general application and
183 just put summer employment.
