4 BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

7 Mayor Ryan called the meeting to order at 7:31p.m. Clerk Harding called the roll with the following
8 in attendance: Trustees Dalzell, McLawhorn, Murphy, Nava-Esparza, Perretta and Mayor Ryan.
9 Trustee Juarez-Mendoza was absent.

11 MAYOR'S REPORT: Mayor Ryan presented: 1) Will call for a short closed session after this
12 meeting. 2) Gave authorization for the Fire Department retro compensation. 3) Impel Union is
13 getting ready to start work on the 13' fence; plan to start first week of June. 4) Noted there was a
14 special on the new that there is an increase in use of list assist and fire departments, including the
15 Chicago Fire Department.

17 CLERK'S REPORT: Clerk Harding presented: 1) Approval of the Apri17, 2023 Board Meeting
18 Minutes. 2) Presentation and approval of the April 24, 2023 Committee Meeting Minutes. 3)
19 Presentation and approval of the April 24, 2023 Special Board Meeting Minutes. 4) Presentation
20 and approval of the Apri127, 2023 Special Board Meeting Minutes.

22 ATTORNEY'S REPORT: Attorney Michael Cainkar: 1)No report.

24 ENGINEER'S REPORT: Geoff Aggen: 1) Water main project on 115' and 118t1i will start this
25 summer. 2) Rebuild Illinois concrete work is done and will start the rest of the work this week.

29 FINANCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY REPORT: Trustee McLawhorn presented: 1)
30 Approval of a list of payroll dated Apri121, 2023 totaling $494,690.05. 2) Approval of a list of
31 accounts payable dated May 1, 2023 with a recap of General Fund $272,914.52; Road& Bridge
32 $23,130.48; Storm Sewer$318.00; MFT $75,175.49; Pulaski TIF $6,870.00; Liability/WC
33 Insurance $847.88; Health Insurance $431,267.02; Water& Sewer $5,745.85; Sanitary Sewers
34 $6,757.06; Heritage UII $84,250.96; for all funds totaling $907,277.26.

38 POLICE AND TRAFFIC SAFETY REPORT: Trustee Dalzell presented: 1)No report.

40 PUBLIC WORKS AND BOAT LALTNCH REPORT: Trustee Murphy presented: 1) Approval to
41 advertise for bid submittals of parkway tree inventory within the Village of Alsip. Alsip was
42 awarded a$13,000 grant for the tree inventory. 2) Boat launch is now open and for the month of
43 April had $2469 in revenue.

45 SEWER AND WATER: Trustee Nava-Esparza presented: 1) Presentation and approval of the
46 Water Department March 2023 Monthly Activity Report. 2) There is an open position in the water
47 department. An employee from Water Department transferred to Public Works.

49 BUILDING AND HEALTH REPORT: Trustee Perretta presented: 1)No report.

51 HUMAN RESOURCES AND INSURANCE: Trustee Murphy presented: 1)No report. 2) May is
52 mental health awareness month. 3) Reminder there are employment vacancies in the finance
53 department, clerk for building department, water department, and summer help.

69 PRESENTATIONS, PETITIONS. COMMUNICATIONS: 1) Trustee McLawhorn stated that
70 Friday May 5' is the 50'Anniversary of the Alsip Library and they will be having activities there all
71 day to celebrate. 2) Mayor Ryan reminded that May 13 from 9am-12pm is the Village clean up day.
72 Several Sprinklerfitters will be coming out to assist. 3) May 15th is student government night and
73 newly re-elected Trustees will be sworn in.
