7 Mayor Ryan called the meeting to order at 7:31p.m. Clerk Harding called the roll with the following
8 in attendance: Trustees Dalzell, McLawhorn, Murphy, Nava-Esparza, Perretta and Mayor Ryan.
9 Trustee Juarez-Mendoza was absent.

11 Mayor stated: He has copies of ordinances to be reviewed by the board. One is for Burrito Jalisco at
12 11950 S. Cicero to increase the number of Class C licenses not to exceed 5 and the other is for Quick
13 Run at 11458 S. Cicero for an FG license not to exceed ll.

15 MAYOR'S REPORT: Mayor Ryan presented: 1) Request for consensus to extend the Village of
16 Alsip's engagement with GovHR for one final month until 1/31/2024, so that a new Staff Accountant
17 may receive additional transitional training. The Board previously gave approval to hire two temporary
18 contractors from GovHR but a second person was never available leaving the finance department to I
19 only utilize the single contractor. The job offer has been made and they are anticipating this person
20 starting next week.

25 CLERK'S REPORT: Clerk Harding presented: 1)Presentation ofthe December 18, 2023 Board
26 Meeting Minutes. 2) This was given the wrong ordinance number last week: APPROVAL OF AN
27 ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ALSIP, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, REGARDING THE
28 ILLINOIS PAID LEAVE FOR ALL WORKERS ACT. Should be Ordinance 2023-12-2.

43 BUILDING AND HEALTH REPORT: Trustee Perretta presented: 1)Request a consensus to have
44 the attorney draft an ordinance on road protection in the Village of Alsip. This would be an ordinance to
45 protect the streets from heavy equipment being loaded and unloaded on village streets and causing
46 damage to the streets. Mayor stated that the Surety bond the contractars provide is to cover any
47 damages such as this and the inspector should be monitoring this or if residents see anything they should
48 report it to police department or village immediately so there can be proof of what occurred.

54 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Trustee Nava-Esparza presented: 1)No report. 2) Update from
55 CMAP;the consultant has been identified and there will be an update in the new year for the next
56 steps.

58 VILLAGE PROPERTIES: Trustee McLawhorn presented: 1)No report.

60 ORDINANCE AND LEGISLATION: Trustee Perretta presented: 1)Request for consensus, asking if
61 the Board wishes to amend the wild animal ordinance to allow for reptiles as requested by the Reptile
62 Den. This would be for educational purposes only for schools, library,park district for animals native to
63 Illinois. Mayor would like to revisit the current ordinance and discuss this at the next committee
64 meeting.

67 resolution for 5555 W. 115th will be on the agenda for next meeting to reconfigure their lots.

81 Trustee Murphy.
